Feast of the Pirates

The Feast of the Pirates is brought to you by Wilmington Harbor Enhancement Trust, Inc. The original Feast of the Pirates was held in Wilmington for three years in the 1920s. “Pirates” sailed up the Cape Fear River, and took over the town. The event was full of “fun, frolic and friendship.” The current event includes pirate reenactors, merchants, and food vendors.

The Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival celebrates jazz, culture, and community, with a line-up of smooth, soulful, and edgy regional and local jazz artists.

The festival will celebrate the iconic Charlie’s Place, a supper club on Carver Street in Myrtle Beach that’s said to be the birthplace of the Shag, South Carolina’s official state dance. Celebrated saxophonist Phil Denny will headline the festival. Other performers include Willie Bradley, Darryl Murrill, Daniel D, and many other jazz musicans.

The Live Oak Art & Music Fest is held in conjunction with the Conway Farmer's Market and Conway Strong Fall Festival, so there are many activities throughout the day under the oak trees in historic downtown Conway. The event will bring over 50 local artists and songwriters to the area for a day of live music. Shop the Artisan Market for fine arts & crafts and the Farmers Market for local produce, fresh fruits, veggies, and homemade goodies.

The annual fall festival at Brookgreen Gardens will include a huge pumpkin patch, where kids can pick out their own pumpkin to paint and design. Activities include an over-the-top scarecrow building contest, hayrides, great food, and live (kid friendly) entertainment. The entire Gardens are open to explore, with opportunities to meet animals.
