With the recent completion of many of Bridgewater’s prized amenities, current residents and future homeowners have literally struck gold! Whether you prefer personal, private experiences or relish in the company of others, the amenities found at Bridgewater are sure to delight. A well-rounded offering of places and spaces includes opportunities for fun and fellowship with neighbors and friends or privacy and solitude when you might need a little time to yourself. At the center of it all is the beautiful Bridgewater Club – a clubhouse filled with wide-open social space, a large, well-equipped catering kitchen, and garage-styled doors which open when South Carolina’s weather is pure perfection (which it usually is!). The community’s Lifestyle Director can be found here too providing information and ideas on how to make the most of the space and your social life at Bridgewater! Towards the back of the clubhouse, a secured-access Fitness Room features high-performance Matrix equipment selected for its internationally celebrated designs which have been recognized for their dynamic performance, exceptional comfort, approachable aesthetic, and unmatched durability – here too you’ll find those awesome garage doors to bring fresh air to your workout!
Silver Linings
Opposite the clubhouse is the Outdoor Cooking Pavilion with its patio-like atmosphere and tremendous popularity with homeowners for causal Friday night Happy Hours. Comfortable furnishings, a large screen TV, colored gas fireplace, professional gas grills, and a long granite-topped table (perfect for an appetizing spread of party or picnic food) make the pavilion the perfect open-air celebration spot. There’s an added bonus adjacent to the Pavilion – a cozy fire pit – which adds an ambiance and resort-like feel to the area. Towards the back of the Pavilion is a private and quiet Yoga room when one can find their Zen with others. Centered between the Clubhouse and the Pavilion is the flexible Founder’s Lawn – AstroTurfed for comfort and durability and accented with festooned lighting – it’s community central for cornhole, jumbo Jenga, outdoor exercising, line dancing, or perhaps the setting for outdoor movie night or a hired band. Plenty of additional seating surrounds each of these areas for those who just want to take in the sights or take an individual break during their day.
Sapphire Waters
Bridgewater’s pool takes sunbathing and splashing to a whole new level! Uniquely shaped, the pool allows for water aerobics classes or lap swimming on one end to water play and fun in the sun swimming on the other end. There’s also a handicap lift for residents or guests in need, and an in-pool lounging deck allowing one to bring a chair into the water to soak up both sun and water! Individual cabanas line each side of the pool with private space to read (or nap) poolside or to momentarily take a break from the sun’s rays.
Go For The Gold
Recreationally, Bridgewater offers many ways to stay active within your community and achieve your personal best. A kayak launch located on The Great Lake allows residents to slide onto the lake and paddle about the calm waters whether alone or with a fellow paddler. A walking trail winds through the entire community and allows one to pace themselves for steps or distance or just stroll along and enjoy the beautiful southern coastal climate. Pickleball courts offer residents a way to partake of America’s fastest-growing sport, and the Bocce court adjacent to the Outdoor Pavilion is a way for folks to play this long-standing favorite pastime going back to the ancient times of the Roman Empire.
A Gem For Them Too
Let’s face it – pets are our family, so we want them to enjoy where they live too! Bridgewater offers two dog parks for small and large pets. Fenced in for safety, the spaces offer a place for Fido or Fifi to be “off the leash” and run, jump and play with their family and furry neighbors. The walking paths and generous sidewalks also provide scenic strolling opportunities with your pet companion – on a leash, of course.
Pride & Joy
Since many of our residents are retired military, Bridgewater’s Veteran’s Memorial is a fitting honor to all branches and is the heart of the community’s remembrance of those who have served. A very active Veteran’s Group keeps national holidays at the forefront of community celebrations and carries on with traditions in flag-raising, lowering, and, pomp and circumstance when applicable.
